Today was my fourth day in Odessa, Ukraine. I always enjoy spending time here, this is my second stay in a year. Tonight I had the opportunity to attend a performance of Puccini’s “Turandot” as an invited guest at the Odessa Opera & Ballet Theatre. It was a wonderful experience, a lot of very powerful music to take in! Invited guest seating put me in the second row, so I was able to take in every detail. On my last trip, I was fortunate enough to attend the Russian ballet’s performance of “Swan Lake”. If you ever find yourself in the region, a show at the theatre should be high up on your list!
I have another week here before I head back to the USA. Hoping to finish up with the rest of the writing for the new album, there is a lot of inspiration to be had in Odessa…
